730 days...

TWO years anniversary :D

It hasn't always been easy, but we've made it this far. I am thankful for everything.

We ate at Butterfly by the Embarcadero yesterday night since he has school until 10 today. We sat next to the windows with a waterfront view, which was really nice.and the food wasn't as good as we expected. Ben got sick from his. :( I had braised short rib with risotto; the short rib was good and the risotto had a weird aftertaste. The crème brûlée was yummy though. There was some good water service, where they kept filling up the glass before I could even finish the cup. Haha.

Spring Break is coming to a close, unfortunately. I don't want to go back to school!

I wish the weather was warmer!! The sun is out, but the weather is not matching the brightness. Grr...

celebrations...

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO MY LOVELY YA-YA SISTER, GRACE YUEN!!!!! Legal, baby (really legal this time)! :D
I wish you all the best! May God continue to be with you all the days of your life and bless you abundantly. ^.^ I love you, dahhling!

That picture was taking after the Mexico mission trip, which leads me to the bond that was formed from the groups we were put in. Today, a bunch of us went to eat ice cream with Steph Chan since she's going back to UCLA tomorrow night.

I've been dreaming...

I just purchased "Enchanted" from half.com because I got a $5 off coupon from signing up for another account. Yay!

Well, I went to eat Vietnamese food with Ben today. I love the imperial rolls & charbroiled pork with vermicelli. Good stuff! Then we went to Fillmore St. to walk around because I wanted to check out the boutiques. The Marc Jacobs store has another photo backdrop thing for spring; this time it's a skunk or squirrel or something. I wanted to do it for fun, but Ben refused. Boo.

Spring Break is almost over. :( So sad. I don't want to go back to school. Yea, I know I get an extra day because I don't have classes on Tuesdays, but still... I don't want to go back.

olé...

Today, I went to Sharon's house for her "fiesta". Mmm... food... good stuff. It was nice seeing old friends that I haven't' seen in forever. We played "Sing Star", which was pretty amusing, but some of those songs were not that great and so random to put into the pop or rock one. These games aren't meant to make your voices sound flattering. Haha.

Yay! Ramiele is safe on American Idol!

say what...

This is an interesting news feature on Yahoo. "Obama related to Pitt, Clinton to Jolie" Apparently, Clinton is also a distant cousin of Madonna, Celine Dion, and Alanis Morissette. Quite quite strange.

There was a mini reunion at Theresa's birthday dinner yesterday. It was nice seeing old friends and meeting some other people that I never really talked to. Anna and I dropped some of them off at the beach, which was crazy since it was SO cold & foggy, and then Anna, Sharon, and I went to Kelton's house to watch the premiere of "The Hills".

"The Hills" = crazy stuff. Lauren made some stupid choices like going out to the club in her Albert Ferreti gown for the ball and then accidentally burning it with her curling iron. AH. There goes one expensive dress.

retreat...

The council retreat we just had was really good and just what I needed. I had to get away from home even if it was onlye for a night; I enjoyed spending time with awesome people and planning for day camp. We got a lot done and we pretty much set up our group by choosing counselors and thinking of activities.

We are such weird people....

I have to work with the weirdest person ever... when the
smoke alarm went off, he fanned the sprinklers. It gave us all a good laugh though.

We set up for SDC registration, so I hope we're ready!

A group of us went to Hotaru Japanese Restaurant in San Mateo for dinner to celebrate Ben's birthday, which is tomorrow. =)

It will also be Easter Sunday, where the Lord Jesus rose from the dead. Praise the Lord!

the best you never had...

I've been constantly listening to "The Best You Never Had" by Leona Lewis; aaah, it's so catchy.

New songs on my playlist: "Take a Bow" - Rihanna & "Missing You" - Backstreet Boys
"...That was quite a show
Very entertaining
But it’s over now
Go on and take a bow..."

Finally organized my "makeup station" on my book shelf because I
didn't want to work on my textiles study sheet. I put it in the bowl that I weaved for my textiles (lab) class from last year.

One more day till Sping Break, but I just have to get through my textiles midterm. I could be ready, but I don't feel that I am. I'm just hoping it's not SUPER hard. =P

I actually went to the library today because I requested two books. I hope I can find time to read them! I used to read so much... what happened? TV & computer, that's what.

...

I KNOW I'm not good enough, so why do I have to constantly be reminded about it?

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

no comment...

I dislike:
- school
- tests
- people nagging me
- trying to get approval

Highlight of the day:
- going to Davis to eat sushi with Ben

what's wrong with me...

Why is it that I never into what I apply for?
- high school
- college of my choice
- ADM program
- jobs
- the list goes on...

No matter what I do, I just fail. That's how it is. I guess my best is just not good enough.

tired...

Practice was okay, I suppose. It's been sooo long since I've really exercised, so I'm kind of tired right now. People were playing around, not taking things seriously, as usual. I mean I'm all about having fun, but when we have practice, things should be taken a little more seriously. I'm still trying to see who's playing, so that I can calculate how much each person has to pay. Grr... people have to hurry up. This happens every single year.

SHAINA'S BACK! Yay!

My my I'm so tired...

I don't want to go to school tomorrow... ugh.

Midterms.... WHY?????

ONE MORE WEEK TILL SPRING BREAK! WHOO!

on the road....

As pitiful as it sounds, I drove on the freeway for like the 4th time today; oh it's so sad how I can count the number of times I've driven on the freeway. I went to PET today and then afterwards, Anna and I went to Serramonte where I tried to stop her from shopping by trying to grab the jacket of her hands, but I was unsuccessful.

There's the first volleyball practice of the season tomorrow. I hope it will turn out well and that people actually show up.

I've got 4 midterms this week, and I didn't even realize it; I thought I only had 3.
- Monday: Intro to the Fashion Industry

- Wednesday: Historic & Contemporary Food & Beverages & Changing Cities
- Friday: Textiles

Yesterday, Ben and I watched "Horton Hears a Who", which was quite funny and good. :) I thought it was sooo cute! I like Horton... so funny, flabby, and cute.

I got the Korean noodles from the Kukje market... yea, it wasn't that great. I should have just got my In n Out cheeseburger.

buying presents...

I do not like buying presents when I have no idea what to buy... Why must it be so difficult?

Ben and I made "Rocky Road Brownies" without the "rocky" today, and they tasted really sweet when they were still hot, but now they taste a lot better. Mmm... brownies. Good stuff. :)

*Ugh* Another textiles quiz tomorrow; those quizzes suck so much. They're just a way to bring our average down. Wish me luck. I'm getting 3-5 wrong on average, mostly 4-5, so I hope I can do better on them, so I don't have to get a B.

so you want to be on top...

America's Next Top Model, American Idol, and a new season of Top Chef Chicago are all on tonight in that order! The girls on ANTM this season are so catty; it's rather annoying because some girls do nothing but argue and stir up trouble. I find it funny when they think they are the most fabulous thing ever, but then they get critiqued. It's like HAH! *point and laugh* One of the girls looks like an edgy Julia Stiles. Ew... they're wearing meat for the photoshoot today; they've got meat panties, tops, bikini tops, etc.

In the food class today, we tried Succotash, Pilaf, 3 types of Venezuelan chocolate, and nachos. Well, the nachos were the usual chips and cheese, so it wasn't anything special. The chocolate was okay, and I liked the milk chocolate the best. Pilaf was somewhat bland, but Succotash wasn't too bad.

I finally started Jennifer's mosaic, so I hope I can finish that as soon as possible.

easily amused...

When I sing along to songs, I'm not alone because I have my little buddy to join me. I tried to get a picture of it when it's mouth wide open, but since it kept moving, it was hard to capture. Thanks to Anna for helping me download it. I just put it back up today because I was trying to configure other things with my computer before. Watching it makes me smile. Yes, I'm a loser who can sit there and watch a dog thing "sing". The instrumental parts are the funniest. Right now it's singing "Sweetest Girl"... dolla dolla bill ya

Speaking of amusing things, the Facebook Superpooke icons are either cute or interesting.

Ben & I saw "No Reservations" today because Safeway
FINALLY had it in stock. It was a cute movie, and also made me hungry with all that cooking and food talk. We also got the last DVD for "The Bee Movie", but we'll have to watch it tomorrow because I had to go home to eat dinner.

Okay, so my grandma didn't break her nose; thank goodness. It'll take about 4 weeks for the
bruising to heal though.

Ah! This picture is sooo pretty; I found it on flickr.com.They have some awesome pictures.

American Idol is on tonight, and I'm hoping that the Asian girl doesn't get voted off because she didn't do too well tonight. We need some Asian representation in American Idol anyways.

things are looking up...

Thank God:
- My grandpa is finally at home and can eat now!
- "issues" have been resolved
- sunny day
- finished group project and it looks pretty good

Check out this album, it's good.
Some of my favorites that I can think of are:
"Yesterday"
"Angel"
"The Best You Never Had"

"Bleeding Love"

I just love sunsets; when I walked by my window, I saw this bold pink, orange, and purple sky, and I just had to take a picture of it. It looks better in person, but I tried the best I could to capture it.

I was so tired today that I actually took a nap, which is quite rare. Then I skedaddled back to school... whee...

I want something sweet to eat.

I cut my own bangs; I finally got the guts to do it. *thumbs up*

I guess this makes sense:
"... I'd rather have bad times with you, than good times with someone else
I'd rather be beside you in a storm, than safe and warm by myself
I'd rather have hard times together, than to have it easy apart
I'd rather have the one who holds my heart..."

what's going on...

I don't really know what's happening anymore... things are just getting haywire..

Please pray for:
- my grandpa (mom's side) - he's in the hospital. He's okay right now, but I'm just worried.
- my grandma (dad's side) - she broke her nose by falling down the stairs.
- Becca's struggles
- Anna - jobs, stress, life journey
- Ben - stress, safety when biking, spiritual life
-
me - I feel like I don't like what I'm becoming...impatient, easily-angered, inconsiderate, etc.

I'm such a crybaby these days...

What
is it that I want?

Thursday, March 6, 2008

food...

I love to eat... =)

I made cookies today, and they actually had the shape of a round cookie. Whoo! It's about time.

I did some sketches for the Intro to Fashion Industry class, and I guess they look okay. I'm not much of a drawing person, but I try.

These Haribo Cola gummies are quite delicious.

I got a call from the admission adviser from AIU (American InterContinental University) for a study abroad program for next summer. It takes place in either London, Paris, or Dubai, but their main campus is in London. It includes an internship with a designer or company and a few classes. If I do it, I might do the internship without the classes, but we'll see... Apparently Christian Siriano (Project Runway) went there too. Cool!

Because I stayed home all day, I was extremely bored... then irritable. Later on at night, Ben brought me some ice cream (Ghiradelli chocolate ice cream with a brownie mix-in). Good stuff. =)

It'll be another Friday tomorrow; the week seems so slow in the beginning, and then it flies by.

project runway...

Today was the finale for "Project Runway", and as I predicted, Christian won because he's fierce *wag finger*. I thought everyone's collection was really good overall, so kudos to them.

My 4:00 class was canceled, so I didn't have to go back to school! I only went to one class today... yea... because that is one of the most boring classes ever and I don't get much out of it. I took the online quiz and got 1 wrong, which isn't too bad.

Yay! Becca's mom found my pencil bag, which has my pick glass for textiles. *Whew*

Today was a nice breezy and sunny day. I hope it'll get warmer and warmer. :)
WELCOME SPRING!
GOODBYE WINTER!

discouraged...

- My mother keeps nagging me.
- I am not getting my A's.

- I feel like I'm just walking aimlessly through life with no purpose.

- My heart isn't in SDC right now, and I feel like I'm losing interest.

- It seems like I can't do anything right.

I need a vacation far far far away from home.

For Your arms are open wide
I am weary but I know Your touch
Restores my life..."

shoes...

Oh how I love shoes... it's so bad... Yea, I bought 2 pairs today at Macy's because there's a sale going on. At least I had a $25 gift card so I didn't have to use all of my money. I don't know how I would've chosen one over the other because one was only $11 but the other was low and soo cute.

Technology seriously hates me. My DVD player is having issues again and won't turn on... I also can't figure out what's wrong with my JAVA for Mozilla. It works for Internet Explorer though.

I don't want to go to school tomorrow. BOO... I totally forgot that I have a midterm in my Intro to Fashion Industry class. Ew... we can't even leave early. Isn't that just swell?

hiccup...

We had fellowship today, finally. It seemed like I hadn't gone to fellowship in a long time because I had family dinners and a wedding on all the fellowship days in February. Afterwards, I went to In N Out with Ben and then we went to Chili's for the molten chocolate cake, which is sooo delicious. Yes, we're fatties. =)

Becca slept over at my house yesterday, yay! Sleepovers are always fun even though it's not like the little girl sleepovers. Haha. I ran out of taco seasoning when I was about to make Tex-Mex Rotelle, so we improvised our own Mac & Cheese. It didn't taste half bad... just need a LITTLE more flavor.

Becca & Grace are driving back to Irvine tomorrow, so please pray for their safety!

It's st
arting to get to the crunch time for my Intro to Fashion Industry group project, but it doesn't help that it took awhile to get an interview with someone from the company. Let's get down to business...

I LOVE Beauty and the Beast!!! The ballroom is my favorite scene just because it's so sweet. =) I'm a big sap for these "falling in love" scenes.

Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong..."
