early...

Man, it was not fun getting up at 6:30. I had to get to work by 7:00 o so, but I was still a little early. I found out that we were going to do inventory, counting each thing by hand. I was thinking it'd be okay and it shouldn't take so long, but I didn't know that we had to count by style number and color code. For the first two hours or so, I was just tallying the style numbers. Once I found out, I had to recount everything. I should have gotten off work at 11am, but I didn't get out till 1. I was so frustrated because numbers weren't matching up and I was running back and forth from the back room to the floor. By 1:00, I wasn't completely done, but they wanted me to go since I had already extended my day by 2 hours, so Sarah said she'd take over. Luckily, I didn't have TOO much leftover for her to do.

Kelly Clarkson - My Life Would Suck Without You

I find this quite adorable. :) I want to hug a panda! I love them; well, that and cows. I love my black and whites. Haha

The iPuppy Husky for the iPod Touch is sooo cute! Since I don't have my own puppy, that's the closest thing I'll get to taking care one. Well, at least for now. It is quite cute though. I just find it funny when it's supposed to be eating, but it's not close enough to the bowl, but you still see it sticking its mouth into nothing. When you pet it, hearts come out.

It's been such a boring weekend. I've mostly stayed home instead of going out. *sigh*

Oh yes, the most exciting thing was getting Wang Lee Hom's autograph from my uncle. :D Meeting him & getting a picture with him would've been nice, but there's always next time... hopefully. I'm glad that my aunt/uncle knew how to spell my name correctly. You'd be surprised. I've gotten cards from one of my aunts, where they spelled my name with a "C". Yea...

This picture looks totally awesome, courtesy of Katrina. The green is in honor of "Wicked" coming back to San Francisco. Can't wait to see it!

mamma mia...

I finally saw "Mamma Mia" on DVD today! I loved it! I just love musicals because I love it when people randomly burst into song and it's supposed to be "normal". Amanda Seyfried is pretty good at this singing thing; it was hard to take her seriously after seeing her in "Mean Girls". It was also weird seeing Meryl Streel go from "The Devil Wears Prada" to some hippie kind of character.

"
Mamma mia, here I go again
My my, how can I resist you?
Mamma mia, does it show again?
My my, just how much I've missed you..."

There's all these TV DVD series that I want to get, but they're so expensive. :( Why????

It's one of those Friday nights. Blah.

7AM work tomorrow. Aiyah.

cult...

HAHAHAHAHA. It was a bad idea to read this article before class. Can you say "corny"?

"
Snuggie gets a warm embrace from pop culture"
"
The Cult of the Snuggie threatens to take over America! Or at least, a substantial number — 4 million — of late-night couch spuds..." read more here.

I couldn't tell if the article was a joke or not at first. I like one a blogger's comment. "This idea has been around for many years. In my house we call that a very large ROBE!!!!!!!!"

The week of school is finally over!! This felt like the longest one ever!

days...

I am losing track of my days. The week seems SO much longer now that I have classes from Monday to Thursday. :( I did the "quick" jolt wake-up this morning because I was wondering why I was sleeping so long and wonderfully. It's just that I've been waking up early for the past few days, and today is my "normal" Wednesday schedule, where I start class at 12:10. When I looked at my clock, it was only 10:24, so I was in the clear. *whew*. I'm paranoid of not setting my alarm to the right time because it alternates from day to day. It so doesn't feel like a Wednesday!

It's so cold! My feet are freezing right now even though they're underneath the blanket. I've been waking up to the cold, so I always have to curl up, which makes the bottom of my bed cold. I hate it when I'm trying to sleep some more, but it's too cold. :(

"Cow helps Teddy to reach the candy"
Tehehe. These are so cute. This person on flickr has a "One Teddy 365 Days Project".

spring...

The spring semester shall be an interesting one. I've got some professors that are actually trying to make the class interesting, so hopefully they will be.

I always look forward to what pictures they will come up with next.

Yay! I got rid of 2 textbooks... finally. Now I just have to buy a lot more. :(

ox...

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR! We say "lunar" to be sensitive to the non-Chinese, but technically, it is Chinese New Year. Haha.

It's the year of the ox!

Yay for food!
Deep-fried Squab

We had the annual pre-New Year dinner at my 婆婆's house. We had so much food that it was enough for everyone to take home boxes of leftovers. Apparently, we had 12 dishes, but make that 24 since there were 2 tables. I think we might be eating some of it tomorrow too, but we'll mostly be eating "jai".

I love the lettuce wraps!

Danielle is so fun to mess with. :) Love that "little girl".

I am so NOT ready to start school tomorrow. It's kind of depressing to think about it. I have to wake up early to try to add a drawing class, which I probably have 5% chance of adding. AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! It's not exactly the way to start off the Lunar New Year.

new york...

May 23 - 31: New York!

I want to go back to Europe so badly. :(

What a boring day it's been. I stayed home all day and didn't really do much.

go away...

Nooooooo!!!! There's school on Monday. MAN. I hate school; it should just go away.

bad...

Well, I just got off work because of floorset. Since there were so many people there to help out, we got out early. Whoohoo! The store is so colorful now, but there's this one wall that's just black & white Juliannes & Sabrinas. Speaking of which... I did something bad... I bought a purse. It's so pretty! It used to be $378, and I got it for $132.30. Not too bad.

Oh man, buying books will be such a pain because they are SOOO expensive. :(

Thank goodness it's almost Chinese New Year!!!! Food & $$$

goodies...

Yay for free stuff that's actually worth a lot!! Over the weekend, Lorraine was telling me that the department stores would be giving away makeup and stuff, and then Sharon told me about it on Sunday night. We made a game plan, planning where we'd go first and what we want. We got to Bloomingdales at 9:30am and the line wasn't TOO horrible, and we were able to get through quickly. Afterwards, we made our way to Nordstrom, where the line was pretty long because the workers were SO slow. There were these ladies behinds us that we saw at Neiman Marcus & Saks Fifth Avenue too. It was pretty funny since they recognized us and kept asking us how we beat them. When we saw the line at Macy's, we didn't really want to go, but we had time, so we just got in line. It went down really quickly... so quickly that we went again. 8 items, 5 stores. Not bad.

I went by to Academy of Art with Ben to ask some transfer questions in case it comes down to that.

The retreat was fun even though there were some people that made things kind of awkward. Besides that, it was great to bond with everyone. I wish there was more sharing time though.

I saw "Inkheart" for free since Sharon wasn't going to use her tickets. It wasn't that great, but it also may have been because of that stupid lady who wouldn't let me change seats.

DEREK LAM - RESORT 2008
- black cotton pique strapless bow bustier dress

This is so cute, and I would totally wear it, or try to at least.

I'm sad that this is the last week of Winter Break. =( I don't want to go back to school and deal with homework, tests, professors, people, etc. Ugh.

HUNGRY!! Hmm, now I'm craving for some sushi.

AMERICAN IDOL in SF wasn't very good. Sad. It's also sad that there aren't very many Asians that can make it onto the show. Usually the Chinese people who audition are embarrassing to watch.

Must work on drawings. Darn it.

cow friends...

Ben and I went to Point Reyes Lighthouse today, but along the way, we saw that it was closed for Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Such perfect timing, right? Oh well... the view was still SO pretty. Seeing the ocean made me feel so small since we couldn't even see the horizon. It was so windy!!We so didn't know it was going to be so far from San Francisco. I thought it'd be around a half an hour or so, but it was really two hours. It involved a lot of windy roads and going through mountains and small towns with a population of 30. I saw a lot of my cow friends! ^.^

I got my boots & Hello Kitty debit card. Whoohoo.

Retreat in 2 days! I can't wait!

I downloaded the Spice Girls' "Greatest Hits" album. Reminds me of t
he days in 4th grade. I miss the songs of the 90's, especially my boy bands.

American Idol has way too many commercials. Boo...

New York in May?? We'll see!

song finder...

I hate it when they don't show the names of the songs that I like on "The City", which makes it harder for me to search since they're usually brand new artists that are unknown. Luckily, I did a search today on their MTV Soundtrack page, and I found the two songs that I was looking for. I tried really hard last week for one of the songs, and I found it today. Whoohoo! I had to use the media downloading thing that Anna gave me to get the songs from Myspace since they aren't established enough.

Sofi Bonde - See Through --> I'm listening to her other songs, and they're pretty good. Check her out!
Jupiter Rising - Guarded
Ben took me to Tiburon (somewhere past Sausalito & Corte Madera) today, which was a nice surprise since it was so warm and sunny! :) The drive was a little crazy since it was such a windy road (Paradise Dr.) up a mountain. I got to see a bunch of rich people's houses with gorgeous views of the water. I want a house like that... grr...,but I wouldn't want to live somewhere so inconvenient. Anyways, it was so pretty because we could see the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco from there.

I had a craving for burgers and Red Robin fries, so I use my powers and got him craving them too. =) Then we were able to go there for dinner. Yay!

I got the classes that were my 3rd back-ups, but I'm not really satisfied with them, especially since one of them has a mandatory orientation on the first day during one of my other classes. What to do? I only signed up for the online class. I really don't like school.

registration...

I HATE REGISTRATION!!! I STILL NEED ONE MORE CLASS TO MAKE IT 15 UNITS, BUT EVERYTHING IS FILLED UP TO THE MAX. I SHAKE MY FISTS!! Not even 1 fist... TWO fists!!! I have actually resorted to BEGGING teachers to let me into the drawing class. *sigh* How sad is that?

On a lighter note: Eggettes Pre-Opening (Millbrae)
Free drinks & food, lots of random white people that seemed to know each other, and Tiffo look-alike. Good times... especially the free part. Well, not everything tasted GREAT, but at least we didn't have to pay for it. It felt somewhat like a buffet... haha.

movieeee...

Anna, Connie, Sharon, Ben, and I saw "Bride Wars" yesterday night. I LOVED it! It was certainly "my type" of movie. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Even Ben liked it. Haha. I read the critics' reviews, which were kind of harsh, but ignore those and read the people's opinions.

So, I was looking up classes for registra
tion the other night, and to my horror, all of them were filled up. Go SFSU! You sure know how to take care of your students. This is what happens when they accept EVERYONE.

Lock-In went alright today. I didn't really know what was going on, but I was pushed into leading KDG even though I probably didn't need to since I wasn't there for the meeting or anything. Oh well. I had fun with the Skittles. :)

Today was the biggest moon of the year! It was SO bright and pretty. I love clear nights even though they're really cold. At least we can see the moon & stars more clearly!

"Did You Know?"
Vera Wang started as a figure skater, where she was even in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" (Jan. 8, 1968), but when she didn't make the U.S. Olympic team, she entered the fashion industry. How interesting.

overload...

This is so cute. I saw this on the twitter website when it was "overloaded".

I'm SO glad that I waited to buy that pretty pink dress from H&M. Originally, it was $34.90, and it was on sale for $20 with the Buy 1 Get 1 Free, so I got 2 dress for $20. I also had a Merchandise Credit card, so I technically paid $10.85. Whoohoo for deals!

Anna, Sharon, and I had a mini hotpot since we didn't really know what to eat, and it was a cheap way to go. As usual, it was delicious.

We tried to sell stuff, but Anna was the only one who got rid of a lot of her stuff. I guess we'll go back for the Spring/Summer season since that's most of our clothes.

I feel so grown-up... haha. I opened up my own checking & savings account at Bank of America at first since Sharon and I wanted to get credit cards.

I found a Buying/Store Management Internship for the summer for Macy's or maybe Bloomingdales? I'm probably going to apply for it, but I am mostly wanting the Buying Internship since I don't really want to deal with store management. Well, we'll see how things go.

Anna and I requested MLK weekend off for COACH, but she was scheduled for a shift and I have an on-call. LAME! They can be so inflexible sometimes; it sucks.

crab...

MMM MMM! Ben and I went to this Vietnamese restaurant, Thanh Long, on 46th Ave. & Judah. It's famous for its Dungeness crab & garlic noodles. We got the roast crab, garlic noodles, and seafood combination fried rice. Not cheap, but it was delicious. It was also quite messy, which kind of sucked. I tried the garlic noodles before from my parents' leftovers, so this was our first time going there. I would definitely go there again once we have a better cash flow.

Hmm... I want some dessert. Pie sounds good. :)

I actually don't know when I'm going back to school. I don't really want to know. Ugh. I just don't want Winter Break to fly by. =/ School = torture. I shudder at the thought of an 8am class. Oh my goodness...

People's Choice Awards is on. There is nothing else on at 9pm today apparently.

I still need to get my prescription. Grr... All I know is that I'm so blind. =P

K...

I went to sing karaoke at Voiz with Anna, Connie, Katrina, and Sharon at first. Time sure flew; we we were there for like 3 hrs. Some of those music videos are horrible along with the background vocals. Yea, those people really need to cover up. Hah. Then we went to In N Out for dinner. Mmm mmm good. Fun times.

I found boots on amazon.com for $26.99 (no tax). Yes! I finally found leather boots for a good price. :) I can end my search now.

All my grades are out, and I am so happy about them... well, except for Marketing, but it's not too horrible. This is certainly my best semester. =D

around town...

Ben and I didn't really have anything to do today, so we literally drove around the city. Well, we made a stop to Haight first, where we went to Kid Robot. He bought one of the Yummy Breakfast keychains, which ended up being a pizza. It's really cute! He just gave it to me. Then we went to this denim store on Valencia & 17th St. Then we went on the drive around SF. Since we were near Fisherman's Wharf, I wanted to stop by Steve & Barry's and I saw that they were closing down! The store was so empty!!! All I could find were a pair of sweatpants ($3.98) & swim suit bottom ($1). Good deals. Sharon said there were some more stuff last Saturday... oh well. All the jeans were 3 for $10, but I couldn't find anything in my size unfortunately.

Newest Janice album that my brother downloaded and gave to me. Yay! It's pretty good so far.
"My Cookie Can" - good song, but weird title.
"雜技"
"你知道我在等你們分手嗎"

New year, new episodes. Whoohoo!
The new show, "True Beauty", is pretty interesting to watch. I can't believe how conceited those people really are. Check it out.

I can't wait for "Bride Wars" to come out! :)

Becca, I'll get a picture up soon. It's nothing special, just to let you know! Haha.

snip snip...

I finally got my hair cut after like two years. :O I actually like it even though it's a bit shorter than before. At least it's not all tangled at the ends anymore, and it was super easy to wash my hair. It felt weird though because I was reaching for the rest of my hair, but it wasn't there.

It's pretty cold again. =/
